Pest Management Technician endorsed for Control of Vertebrate Pest

Description

This course provides the necessary accreditation for persons wanting to be endorsed in the control of vertebrate pests. The course will cover a range of topics including an overview of vertebrate pests in Australia, animal biology and behaviour, trapping and control techniques, safe handling, legislation, signage, and much more.

Assessment will include a short practical assessment onsite and a written assignment to be submitted within 6 weeks of completion of workshop.

Please Wear appropriate clothing – Wet weather gear, apron, rubber boots and also bring a change of clothes.

  • All students must hold a valid Chemical Card at the time of enrolment and are required to provide evidence of this.

Short Course Delivery Locations Some short courses can provide accreditation for industry-specific registration, while others merely provide skills and knowledge in the subject area. Concession prices are available for some courses.

Note

All students must hold a valid Chemical Card at the time of enrolment Transport and store chemicals (AHCCHM304) Prepare and apply chemicals to control pest, weeds, and diseases (AHCCHM307) This course requires External/Online training to be undertaken via LEARN prior to two (2) Practical Workshops on 13 and 20 May, 2025. Students will have a further 6 weeks after Practical Workshop to complete all course requirements. Wear appropriate clothing – Wet weather gear, hat, sunscreen, rubber boots. You will be getting dirty! Please bring a change of clothes.
